An oak Neo-Gothic bench, from Liege, Belgium. Evoking the eclectic medieval style, this bench is heavily carved in a fashion that was very popular in Belgium in the latter part of the 19th century. The upper back and lower apron, in particular, display this style in full form. The legs are turned and joined by a center stretcher. Circa: 1880-1890
