Antique Iron Gate from Provence, Circa 1850

This exquisite antique French iron gate has hand wrought motifs throughout.  There are individual foliate stems of roses and buds, open worked flower basket, parcel gilt iron drapery swags, rosettes, and leaves.  The thick iron framework has geometric motifs throughout displaying the Louis XVI Style of the entire gate.

With retrofitting, this versatile gate could serve, once again, as a balcony gate, a garden gate, a frontage for a console, a fireplace gate frontage, wall art and many other uses depending upon your needs and imagination.  Today, these hand wrought gates are difficult to construct or copy because of the time it takes and the artistic ability.  This Louis XVI Style gate will be a focal point to any area, indoors or outdoors.

Condition:  Very good condition with minor rusting to iron.
