Treat yourself to a taste of Americana and celebrate our Independence Day!  This week, I was inspired by this wonderfully hand painted patriotic chest I found on Latique. The nautical painting on its exterior is still in fine condition and is symbolically composed with a ship, anchors, and American Flag with 44 stars.  The chest is said to have been presented to Captain Charles Barr from his crew during the 1895 Americas Cup Yacht.  What a great historical piece to have in your possession!  I can only imagine the admiration, winning pride, and cheerful stories derived from this fine piece of memorabilia that are endless!  This priceless trophy as well as an array of other early American Antiques  can be viewed by visiting Stone Heron's dealer profile online.  Feel free to browse before you get geared up for fireworks, parades, barbecues and family gatherings on this celebratorial day of America's freedom.  I hope you enjoy a safe, fun-filled holiday as we all celebrate the birthday of the United States of America.  Happy 4th of July!
